The Allanton Inn is located on the main street that runs through the village; you can’t drive through Allanton without seeing the inn. Allanton itself is a peaceful conservation village located just ten miles west of Berwick-upon-Tweed and the A1, ten miles north of Coldstream and the A697, and six miles east of Duns. Surrounded by the beautiful rural countryside of Berwickshire, the English border is only five miles away over the River Tweed, so it’s the perfect location for exploring the border region and the beautiful coast.
