Our Rooms

Modern comfort alongside traditionally timeless décor

The bedrooms are all uniquely different in size and design but they all feature quality 100% Egyptian cotton bedding, fluffy white towels, soft lighting and Scottish produced toiletries from The Highland Soap Company. The rooms are en-suite rooms with newly fitted showers (only the family suite has a bath). They are equipped with a flat screen television with built in radio alarm clock, hairdryer, iron & ironing board coffee, tea making facilities with Border biscuits and a local history/information folder and local walks.  The bedrooms are all decorated in muted colours reflecting the surrounding Berwickshire countryside – the mauves/purples of the heather moors, greens of the lush grass fields & countryside, golds of the cornfields & silvery greys of our rivers.  Local & original artwork & decor have been chosen to support this too with patterns of locally found animals & scenery.

In the winter months, guests can coorie in and request one of our bedtime boxes which contain a wax melt lamp containing a locally Scottish Borders made Love Scottish wax melt, eye mask, hot water bottle, herbal tea & cosy blanket.

 In the summer months, guests can enjoy a peaceful breakfast listening to the birds in one of our wooden pods in the garden with open views across the beautiful Borders countryside.

The Allanton Inn breakfast is a perfect way to start your day and enhance your stay. We pride ourselves on our breakfast service. There is always fresh fruit, yoghurts, local honey, local cheeses, Katrina’s home-made jams & marmalade, full cooked breakfasts using locally produced bacon & sausages, porridge made with Heatherslaw milled oats, bread from Fords the Baker in Norham, local fresh Edington Mains eggs, as well as Ross Dougal’s locally hot smoked salmon and Eyemouth kippers.

Family room

The family suite comprises of adjacent double room and twin room and a bathroom. The rooms can accommodate a travel cot which can be supplied on request. We have toys and games available for your children to enjoy and free Wi-Fi access is available for our guests in all our rooms and public areas.

The family suite is from £195 per night.

Checking in and out

Rooms are available from 15:00 to 22:00.
Checkout by 11:00.
On request we can vary times depending on room availability and advanced notice.
Guests attending weddings/functions in the area can (by prior arrangement) have earlier check ins to leave baggage and collect keys.
